James Giles

James Giles has a diverse work history spanning several industries. James started their career in the US Navy, serving as a Nuclear Machinist's Mate First Class and Leading Engineering Laboratory Technician on a submarine. After leaving the Navy, they held various technical roles in companies such as Athens Corp., IPEC-Athens Corp., IPEC Corp, IPEC-Clean Corp, and SpeedFam-IPEC Corp. In these roles, they provided technical support, conducted equipment installations and qualifications, and developed customer training programs. James then worked at ASM International as an Installation Engineer and Equipment Installation Tool Owner. Following that, they joined Newport Corporation where they established and led Asian service operations for automation equipment. James also spearheaded critical product enhancement programs and created on-site repair operations. James then joined Global Communication Semiconductors, Inc. as Equipment Support, where they played a key role in installations, technician hiring, equipment improvement, and reliability efforts.
