Our mission to “link, develop and support English Language Teaching professionals” worldwide is achieved through:

   • 16 Special Interest Groups to help teachers develop their own lines of interest.

   • Links with over 100 national Teachers' Associations around the world.

Our annual conference is one of the largest in the ELT calendar. With 3,000 ELT professionals from more than 120 countries, it involves a 4-day programme of around 500 talks, workshops, panel discussions and presentations, as well as a vibrant social programme. This offers delegates a unique opportunity to meet leading theorists and writers, and exchange ideas with fellow professionals from all sectors of ELT.

In addition, there is a large exhibition involving providing a one-stop shop to see the latest ELT publications, products, courses, online platforms, service providers, recruiters and much more.
