Gregory Ibañez, FAIA, and Bart Shaw, FAIA, principals of Ibañez Shaw Architecture, operate from the basic belief that architecture is more than just buildings. The people who inhabit their spaces, the streetscapes that are enhanced when they are built, the life that happens within their communities, and the cities that are indelibly changed by their presence—all are influenced by their manifestation.

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Ibañez Shaw Architecture believes that every project deserves the best design. Guided by an optimistic and creative pragmatism, Ibañez Shaw believes that a bold, enlightened approach elevates the soul and enriches communities. The firm crafts distinctive, sustainable, and elegant designs that meet the needs of clients while responding to broader civic and social ambitions. This is true no matter the project’s type, scale or location.

As a boutique design firm, Ibañez Shaw is committed to sustained principal involvement through the lifecycle of every project. The principals and staff guide clients through a transformative process to create architecture that provides rich personal experiences and positive community impact.

The firm’s output reflects the principals’ broad experience in projects of varied scale and typology. The firm’s work encompasses commercial, civic, interior, residential and retail projects. Recent projects in Texas include Amphibian Stage; Fort Worth Camera, which houses photography classes, studios, and retail space; Lake Highlands North Aquatic Center; Hotel Revel, a mixed-used building; and Memory: Fairmount Park, a public art project. National projects include a home and guest quarters at Cobham Forest in Virginia, The Club MSY in New Orleans, and the Macon Agrihood community plan in Georgia.

Greg and Bart, each elevated to the AIA College of Fellows for design achievement, have received significant and consistent design recognition.
