Ray Thorne

Ray Thorne is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in datacenter infrastructure and telecommunications. Currently serving as a Senior Datacenter Infrastructure Engineer at iBasis since June 2007, Ray has a strong background from previous roles, including Equipment Engineer at Boston Communications Group, where responsibilities included designing and implementing backbone cabling and optimizing equipment layouts using AutoCAD and Visio. Prior experience as an Applications Engineer at Elgin Warren Power Systems involved assisting customers with DC Power products, while earlier work as an Engineer at Telecommunications Services of T & T focused on installing switching, transmission, and power equipment. Ray holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The City College of New York, along with additional education from Brooklyn College.
