IBClay & Company is an economics-led consulting, research, and strategic advisory firm based in Nairobi, Kenya. We work with organisations facing consequential decisions and provide the analytical depth, structured diagnostics, and strategic clarity required to act with confidence.

Our work sits at the intersection of economics, strategy, operations, and organisational performance. We help leaders understand what the numbers mean, where value is being lost, which decisions matter most, and how to move from analysis to execution with discipline.

We combine rigorous economic thinking, market intelligence, research-driven problem solving, and business diagnostics into a unified advisory model designed to strengthen performance and improve decision quality. Our approach is evidence-based, direct, and action-oriented. We do not rely on general opinion or abstract recommendations. We ground our work in analysis, quantify what matters, and translate findings into practical direction.

At the centre of our analytical approach is the Excora Friction Intelligence Architecture (EFIA), our proprietary diagnostic framework for identifying structural friction, hidden inefficiencies, and value leakage within organisations. Through this framework, we produce the Total Organisational Friction Index (TOFI), a clear diagnostic measure that shows leadership teams where performance is being constrained and where intervention will create the greatest return.

Our core services include Economic & Market Insights, Research-Driven Problem Solving, Integrated Business Diagnostic, strategy and transformation advisory, operational intelligence, and organisational performance analysis. Across every engagement, our focus is the same: stronger decisions, clearer priorities, sharper execution, and measurable client impact.

We serve institutions seeking rigorous analysis, integrate ntegrated thinking, and advisory grounded in real economic and operational realities.
