Danny McCoy

Danny McCoy has a robust background in economics and leadership, with significant experience in academia and public policy. McCoy began as an Economics Lecturer at Dublin City University and later held similar positions at University College London and University of Oxford. Transitioning to more applied economics, McCoy served as a Senior Economist at the Central Bank of Ireland and the Economic and Social Research Institute, where leadership in macroeconomic forecasting and collaboration with European institutions occurred. McCoy has been the CEO of Ibec since 2009, focusing on stakeholder collaboration and Social Dialogue to benefit both business and society. Additionally, McCoy served as Vice President and 58th President of the Statistical and Social Inquiry Society of Ireland, enhancing discussions among various sectors. McCoy's educational journey includes a B.Comm from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and an M.Econ.Sc from University College Dublin.
