Gerard Brady

Gerard Brady is currently the Chief Economist and Head of National Policy at Ibec, where they lead a team responsible for shaping the organization’s national policy agenda across various economic and regulatory areas. They served as a Board Member of the Central Statistics Office from 2017 to 2023 and have been a Council Member at the National Economic & Social Council since 2022. Brady's academic foundation includes a BA in Economics and History from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and an MA in Economics from University College Cork, where they also held a lecturer position. Additionally, they have contributed as Vice-Chair of the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee at BusinessEurope since 2025.
