Rute Castro has extensive experience in the field of biochemistry and microbial physiology, currently serving as a Researcher at the Biopilot Plant at iBET - Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica since January 2015. Prior to this role, Rute Castro held a post-doctoral position at IBET from March 2010 to December 2014 and completed a PhD at ITQB-UNL from 2005 to 2009. Rute Castro earned a Doctorate in Biochemistry/Microbial Physiology from Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica, UNL, from 2003 to 2009, and holds a Graduate degree in Biological Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, obtained between 1997 and 2002.
