Abel Valente

Abel Valente is an experienced software engineer and team lead with a robust background in game development and academic research. Currently employed at IBM since November 2009, Valente previously worked at ID Interactive from September 2002 to November 2009, where significant contributions included designing major system components such as a graphics engine and audio engine, as well as creating a UI scripting language. Valente also served as a research assistant at Stevens Institute of Technology for a brief period in 2003 while pursuing a PhD in computer security theory. Educational credentials include a Licenciado en Informática from Universidad Nacional de La Plata and studies toward a PhD at Stevens Institute of Technology.
