Anne Dames

Anne Dames is a Distinguished Engineer at IBM, where they serve as a Z Cryptographic Technology Architect, defining strategies for cryptography implementation and deployment across hardware, firmware, and operating systems. They bring extensive experience in technical leadership, having previously held the role of Senior Technical Staff Member, where they drove cryptographic development for IBM's hardware security module product line. Anne is also a current board member of the NIST Information Security and Privacy Advisory Board, with a term running from December 2024 to December 2028. They hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Johnson C. Smith University.
