Charley Beller

Charley Beller is a highly experienced professional in the field of Natural Language Processing and Cognitive Science. Beller's career began at Johns Hopkins University, where engagement included roles as a Graduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant from 2008 to 2011, followed by positions as an Adjunct Researcher and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Human Language Technology Center of Excellence and the Center for Language and Speech Processing, respectively. In 2018, Beller joined IBM, currently serving as a Master Inventor and contributing as a Principal Data Scientist and NLP Lead, as well as a Solution Architecture Lead for watsonx.ai and AI Assistants. Beller holds a B.A. in Linguistics, ASL, and Arabic from the University of Rochester and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
