Chuang Gan

Chuang Gan is a research manager and professor specializing in generative AI, currently serving as a Principal Researcher and Manager at MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab, where they lead a team focused on large language models and generative agents. Chuang has previously contributed as a research intern at companies such as Google Brain and Microsoft Research, and held research positions at various prestigious institutions including Stanford University and Carnegie Mellon University. They earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Beihang University and a PhD in Computer Science from Tsinghua University. Chuang is also a tenure-track faculty member at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
