Dasha Simons

Dasha Simons is a PhD candidate at Universiteit van Amsterdam, focusing on Video AI and Ethics in the HAVA Lab while also serving as a team member for Europe Direct at the European Commission. Dasha has held various roles in AI ethics and design, notably as a Managing Consultant at IBM, where they led initiatives in Trustworthy AI and contributed significantly to Financial Crimes Prevention. Previously, Dasha earned a Master's degree in Strategic Product Design from Technische Universiteit Delft and received the Best Graduate Award for their thesis on ethical AI development. Their diverse experience spans roles in design, marketing, and consultancy across several organizations.
