Erik Johnson

Erik Johnson is currently a Counsel at IBM Research, where they oversee the patent process and perform transactional work in Quantum and Semiconductor technologies. Previously, Erik served as an Associate Patent Attorney and Team Lead at IBM, managing patent procurement and mentoring junior attorneys. Erik's experience includes roles as a Co-op Engineer at DuPont, a Systems Engineer at Siemens Energy, and a Patent Attorney at Oliff & Berridge. They also interned in the Technology Transfer Department at the University of Pittsburgh, where they performed legal functions related to patent prosecution. Erik holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) in Intellectual Property Law and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
