Hunter Shi is a seasoned engineer with over 20 years of experience in functional characterization of processor, I/O, and cache chips, including seven generations of Z-series mainframe chips and four generations of Power chips. Currently, Hunter serves as the Lead Senior Manufacturing Engineer on the IBM Spyre AI chip while also leading the manufacturing efforts for the Z17 mainframe Telnum II Processor. Their expertise spans supply chain, wafer, module, and system testing, backed by proficiency in data analysis tools such as SAS, Excel, and JMP. Hunter holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Control Systems from SUNY New Paltz and has been recognized with a Corporate Award for contributions to the zEC12 delivery during their tenure at IBM z Systems.
