Ian Mitchell is currently the IBM Z Strategic Modernisation Leader at IBM, a position held since 2021, and a Distinguished Engineer in IBM Z Application Agility Architecture & Strategy since 2018. Ian's extensive experience at IBM began in 1987 as a CICS Developer, where they contributed to a variety of projects, later serving as a CICS TS for z/OS Architect and a z Systems Transactional Middleware and Blockchain Architect. Ian earned a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Southampton between 1984 and 1987.
