Irina Rish is a Full Professor at Université de Montréal and Mila - Quebec AI Institute, where they have been contributing to the field of artificial intelligence since 2019. Prior to this, they were a Research Staff Member at IBM Research since 1999, focusing on brain-inspired AI and neuroimaging. Irina began their academic journey as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Irvine, from 1994 to 1999. They hold a PhD in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from UC Irvine and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.
