James C. Sexton

IBM Fellow, Future Computing Systems

James C. Sexton is an accomplished IBM Fellow currently focused on Quantum Centric Supercomputing Partnerships. They held various research roles at IBM from 1988 to 1991 and served as a Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies between 1986 and 1988. Sexton was an Associate Professor at Trinity College Dublin from 1991 to 2004 and commenced their career as a Research Fellow at Fermilab from 1984 to 1986. They earned a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Columbia University in 1984, following a B.A. Mod in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Trinity College Dublin in 1978.
