Jay Hou is an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM, where they have been focused on designing and developing IBM Quantum Computer software for commercial customers and researchers since April 2017. Jay's work includes the creation of queuing APIs for user and group management as well as system logging and real-time notifications. Previously, they served as a System Engineer at Shenyin & Wanguo Securities Co. Ltd., where they resolved critical database synchronization issues. Jay earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and they are currently expanding their expertise in Machine Learning through self-study courses.
