Johan Van Mengsel

Johan Van Mengsel holds a Master's degree in Mathematics from Universiteit Antwerpen, earned between 1981 and 1985. They began their career as a System Engineer at Prodata Systems from 1987 to 1988, before becoming a Unix consultant at IMX in 1989-1990. Johan served as a Security Network Specialist at Vesuvius from 1995 to 2004 and later contributed to the GSE Enterprise Systems Security working group as the IBM Liaison from 2002 to 2021. They worked at IBM from 2011 to 2021, achieving the role of Distinguished IT Specialist while also being an Emeritus Member of the IBM Academy of Technology.
