John Lemek is a Senior Software Engineer at IBM Quantum, currently on leave. They have specialized in high-performance computing and numerical algorithms, with a strong background in Fortran. John began their career with an internship at Argonne National Laboratory in 1993, later taking on roles at IBM, including as a Technical Lead and Architect for HPC testing. They hold a Master’s degree in Scientific Computing and Computational Mathematics from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University.
