John Reed

John Reed has extensive experience in information security, having held various senior roles across multiple companies. At Evanta, a Gartner Company, John served as Co-Chair and Governing Body Member of the CISO Community from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, John worked as a Security Engineer at Anixter, managing global security technology deployments. John furthered expertise at IBM as a Senior Advisor & Architect, transitioning to a Senior Account Technical Leader in 2025. Other notable positions include Sr. Manager of Information Security at True Value Company, Senior Information Security Analyst at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, Manager of Global Information Security at Aon, and Information Security Officer at SunGard. John's career began at Anixter International Limited as Manager of Information Services. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University's College of Business.
