Jordan Shade is an experienced design professional with a diverse background in education, entrepreneurial ventures, and corporate leadership. Beginning as a Teacher at Children's Discovery School, Jordan embraced a Reggio-Emilia approach, focusing on individualized curricula and even creating custom toys and furniture. Following this, Jordan founded RSF Screen Printing to support the local music community in Austin, TX, providing affordable merchandise and design solutions. Academic pursuits included a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's in Industrial Design from The University of the Arts. Jordan's career at IBM spanned multiple roles, ranging from Associate Designer to Design Principal, where responsibilities included leading design teams, facilitating global design thinking initiatives, and conducting user research to enhance service design programs. As the Founder of A Functional Democracy, Jordan demonstrated a commitment to community engagement and organizational transformation.
