Joy Xu

Joy Xu is an accomplished professional currently serving as a Brand Technical Specialist at IBM since September 2025. Joy's experience includes leadership roles at Hotel Ezra Cornell as a Food & Beverage Service Director and positions at Crossroads, where Joy was a Co-Chief Executive Officer and contributed to the startup's recognition as a Hult Prize Semifinalist in 2023. Joy has also held significant roles at the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, including Chief Operating Officer and Dean's Student Advisory Board Member. Earlier positions include a Technical Sales Specialist Intern and Brand Sales Specialist Intern at IBM, a student manager in The Statler Hotel's Hotel Leadership Development Program, and a Consulting Analyst for the Social Enterprise Group at Cornell. Joy holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, following a high school diploma from Montgomery Blair High School with a focus on science, mathematics, and computer science.
