Kevin Butt is a SCSI Architect and IBM's Principal Representative for T10 Standards, specializing in SCSI standards and tape drives. They began their career as a Failure Analysis Engineer at Signetics before becoming a Software Consultant in the BYU Psychology department. Kevin served as a Firmware Engineer at Hughes Missile Systems, where they wrote embedded software for RADAR and infrared systems. Since 1998, they have been a Senior Firmware Engineer at IBM, architecting external interfaces for high-performance tape drives and leading firmware development teams. Kevin holds a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Weber State University.
