Lei Zhang

Lei Zhang is currently a DevOps Tech Lead at IBM, where they lead a team in collaboration with multiple Red Hat Product teams to release and maintain Red Hat products on IBM z systems. Prior to this role, they served as a Staff Software Engineer at IBM from 2015 to 2019, focusing on customizing open-source tools and porting applications to the Linux on System Z platform. Lei began their career as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Victoria from 2010 to 2014, followed by an internship at Focus Sales Systems Inc., where they contributed to the development of security architecture for a SaaS application. Lei holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from China University of Geosciences and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Victoria.
