Liam McColgan

Liam McColgan is a Lead Detection Engineer at IBM, where they have been working since 2024. They hold multiple certifications, including Splunk Core Certified Power User and GIAC Certified Incident Handler, as well as a Master of Science in Systems & Software Security from Letterkenny Institute of Technology. Prior to joining IBM, Liam served as a Senior SIEM Engineer at Digital14 and held roles at the National Transport Authority and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. Their early career included positions as a Security Administrator and Application Security Engineer, complemented by clerical roles at various government departments.
