Malik Chabane is an experienced professional in the field of applied mathematics and fluid dynamics, with a strong background in research and data science. Malik began as an intern at the Institut de Mécanique des Fluides de Toulouse in 2012, focusing on vortex ring generation at low Reynolds number. Following this, Malik served as a Modeling and Simulation Assistant at IRAP, where a significant discovery regarding large-scale instability in stratified, rotating flows contributed to the understanding of meteorological phenomena. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Malik researched nonlinear triads forming traveling waves in fluid systems. Currently, Malik holds the position of Data Scientist at IBM, having previously worked in a similar role at TotalEnergies. Malik earned a PhD in Applied Mathematics from both the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Rutgers University, complemented by a Master's degree from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III.
