Matthew Carthy

Matthew Carthy is a Managing Consultant at IBM Global Business Services, currently engaged in a Digital Transformation project in the Financial Services Sector as a cross-functional analyst and developer. In addition to their role at IBM, Matthew is a part-time research student at Dublin Institute of Technology, focusing on methods for detecting fake and sybil accounts on social networks using machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques. Matthew previously worked as a web development and analytics consultant at Nostra Systems while earning their Bachelor's and Master's degrees, both with First Class Honours in Business and Information Technology and Electronic Commerce, respectively. Passionate about continuous learning, Matthew actively seeks opportunities to expand their knowledge and skill set.
