Mehdi Hamid

Mehdi Hamid, PhD, is a senior hardware architect at IBM, where they apply their expertise in advanced simulations and mechanical analysis to solve complex hardware challenges. They previously served as a hardware architect, research scientist, and mechanical analyst at IBM Systems from 2019 to 2023, and conducted in-depth research at Washington State University from 2015 to 2019, focusing on modeling mechanical deformation in metallic materials. Mehdi also supported education as a teacher assistant for physics at Istanbul Sehir University from 2011 to 2014. They hold a PhD in Materials Engineering from Washington State University and a Master's degree in Industrial Systems and Manufacturing Engineering from Istanbul Sehir University.
