Melba Lopez

Melba Lopez is an accomplished cybersecurity and information technology professional with extensive experience in software supply chain security and vulnerability management. Currently serving as a SW Supply Chain Security Architect at IBM since August 2021, Melba's responsibilities include architecting and implementing IBM’s Enterprise Software Supply Chain Security solution while ensuring compliance with industry standards. As Co-Founder of Havana Banana Press L.L.C. and former Manager of Global Vulnerability Management at VMware, Melba successfully led various initiatives to improve audit readiness and security processes, achieving significant growth in team performance. Melba's earlier roles at Lenovo and IBM involved leading cloud solutions development and customer engagement, supported by a solid educational background that includes a Master's in Professional Studies in Information Sciences focused on Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Penn State University.
