Michael Behrendt

Michael Behrendt is a Distinguished Engineer and the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Serverless at IBM, where they define the architecture for serverless computing initiatives and collaborate with IBM Research on innovative projects like "Serverless Quantum." With over two decades of experience in cloud computing, Michael has held various senior technical leadership roles at IBM, including leading the development of the IBM Cloud Computing Reference Architecture and significant cloud-focused customer engagements. They are also a member of the Knative Steering Committee and have contributed extensively to open-source efforts. Michael holds a BSc/MSc in Information Technology from the University of Cooperative Education, Stuttgart.
