Michael Walter

Michael Walter is an accomplished IT and security expert with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. From August 1989 to June 2000, Michael served as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Security Officer for the Federal Government, overseeing systems and security at a multi-agency Federal Intelligence Center. Between February 2024 and January 2022, Michael held various roles at IBM, including Senior IT Management Consultant and Senior Security Architect, where the focus was on advising client CIOs on merging business and technology needs while enhancing security strategies. Michael's earlier experience includes serving as a Technical Advisor at Compuware and contributing as a board member for the Institute of Certified Service Managers. As a retired LCDR in the U.S. Coast Guard with 15 years of active duty, Michael's diverse background is further complemented by a Master's degree in Public Administration from Florida International University and a Bachelor's degree in Management Science from the Florida Institute of Technology.
