Mike Harney is the Vice President of Government & Regulatory Affairs at IBM, a position held since 2025. Previously, Harney served in various legislative roles, including Chief of Staff for U.S. Senator Mark Warner and the U.S. Department of Commerce, and Legislative Director for Senator Kay R. Hagan. Harney's early career also included teaching Math and Economics at The Taft School and working as a Legislative Correspondent and Assistant for Representatives Robert E. "Bud" Cramer and Patrick Kennedy. Harney is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics at Davidson College.
