Oliver Dial

Oliver Dial has an extensive background in physics and quantum technology, with a Ph.D. obtained from MIT and a Bachelor's degree from Caltech. Early experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the California Institute of Technology, where Oliver developed control software for electron beam lithography systems and explored nanofabrication processes. After further roles as a Teaching Assistant in microfabrication and introductory waves courses, Oliver held significant positions at IBM, progressing to the role of CTO for IBM Quantum. Contributions include managing Quantum Electronic Devices and conducting pioneering research in quantum optics and capacitance spectroscopy. Notable achievements include demonstrating the first two-qubit gate for quantum dots and advancing techniques for quantum state tomography.
