Paul Taylor

Paul Taylor is an accomplished IBM Fellow and Chief Architect with extensive experience at IBM since July 2001, where responsibilities have included leading the architecture of next-generation data and analytics platforms for Watson Health and overseeing the convergence of Data, AI, and Cloud within Watson Data and AI. Taylor has played a pivotal role in developing the Watson Data Platform and its foundational components for data workflows, enabling support for both structured and unstructured data. Additional leadership roles include significant contributions to Enterprise Content Management during a transformative period, managing customer engagements, and driving technical integration following major acquisitions. Prior to IBM, Taylor gained expertise in database management systems at Informix, where innovations were recognized and patented, contributing to performance improvements in widely used products. Paul Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia.
