Pavan Murali

Pavan Murali is a Research Staff Member at IBM, where they focus on predictive analytics, machine learning, data mining, risk management, optimization modeling, and approximation algorithms. They were previously a Doctoral Fellow at the University of Southern California from 2007 to 2009, and their earlier experience included research assistant roles at the National Center for Metropolitan Transportation Research, the Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events, and the Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering. Pavan earned a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California in 2010, an M.S. from the same institution in 2005, and a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2003.
