Riyaz A. Bhat

Riyaz A. Bhat, PhD, is a Staff Research Scientist at IBM IRL, where they focus on machine learning and deep learning applications in various areas of natural language processing. With over 12 years of research and development experience in conversational AI, document understanding, and information extraction, Riyaz has developed and deployed machine learning solutions to address real-world business challenges. They hold a PhD in Natural Language Processing from IIIT Hyderabad and have contributed to one US patent and 30 publications in prestigious conferences and journals. Prior to their current role at IBM, Riyaz worked in R&D management and research positions at Verisk, KPMG India, Fidelity Investments, and Interactions LLC.
