Steve Capella

Steve Capella is a Patent Portfolio Manager at IBM with over thirty years of experience in intellectual property law, which includes expertise in patent examination and portfolio management. They previously served as an IP Attorney at Miller & Quinn Law Firm, handling patent and trademark prosecutions, and as a Patent Examiner at the USPTO. Capella earned a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown Law and a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Their goal remains to serve as the sole or lead in-house IP counsel, specializing in patent law and technology transactions.
