Tom Brunet has extensive experience in accessibility technology, currently serving as the Head of Accessibility Technology & Innovation at IBM's Design Program Office since 2019. Prior to this role, Tom held various positions at IBM, including Senior Technical Staff Member and Compliance Tools Architect, where they focused on developing products and tools for web accessibility standards. Tom's research background includes a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they contributed to projects in biomedical graphics and supervised undergraduate students. Tom holds a Master’s degree in Computer Graphics - Biomedical from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
