Iosif Viorel (Vio) Onut, Ph.D., is an Associate Partner in Cyber Strategy and Risk at IBM and co-Director of the uOttawa-IBM Cyber Range. Currently, Vio serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Ottawa while specializing in cybersecurity and cybercrime, possessing over 20 years of experience in various roles within the field. Vio's past achievements include managing over 150 research projects involving numerous universities and authorship of over 45 peer-reviewed articles and more than 60 patents. Vio completed a Ph.D. at the Faculty of Computer Science, University of New Brunswick, focusing on application and network security.
