Yara Rizk

Yara Rizk is an accomplished professional in the fields of electrical and computer engineering, currently serving as a Manager and Research Staff Member in AI at IBM since April 2019. Rizk has held notable academic positions, including Lecturer at the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences at Boston University from January 2023 to May 2023, and Research Associate at the American University of Beirut in early 2019. With extensive teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and involvement in various research projects such as humanitarian computing and sentiment analysis, Rizk’s academic contributions span several years at the American University of Beirut. Rizk also gained industry experience as a Software Engineering Intern at Intel Corporation and has held various undergraduate and graduate research roles. Educational background includes a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Bachelor's in Computer and Communication Engineering, both from the American University of Beirut.
