David Batty

David Batty has diverse work experience in the field of technology and systems engineering. David has held various roles in different companies, including iboss, HMG Strategy, Trellix, FireEye, Inc., Palo Alto Networks, BNSF Railway, Verizon Data Services, and CDI Information Services.

At iboss, David currently serves as the VP of Solution Architecture & Technology, a position they have held since July 2023. David is responsible for overseeing solution architecture and technology strategies.

Prior to joining iboss, David worked as an Advisory Board Member at HMG Strategy starting in August 2021.

From January 2022 to July 2023, David served as the Principal Systems Engineer / Technical Director - Global Systems Engineering at Trellix. In this role, they were an influential member of a global team, driving complex and strategic opportunities and serving as a subject matter expert in SecOps.

Before Trellix, David worked at FireEye, Inc. in multiple positions. From July 2020 to January 2022, they served as a Principal, and from September 2019 to July 2020, they worked as a Platform Strategist in the Office of the CTO. Prior to that, they held the role of Solutions Architect from July 2017 to September 2019.

David also has experience working at Palo Alto Networks as a Consulting Systems Engineer - Major/Global Accounts from October 2016 to June 2017.

From May 2014 to October 2016, David worked as a Consulting Systems Engineer (Enterprise/Majors) N. TX, OK, LA, AR at FireEye, Inc. David was considered a trusted security advisor, developing relationships with technical and business leaders.

Before joining FireEye, Inc., David had a significant role at BNSF Railway. From August 2010 to May 2014, they served as a Consulting Systems Engineer II / Enterprise Security, where they played a vital role in enforcing security standards and best practices. Additionally, from January 2007 to August 2010, they worked as a Consulting Systems Engineer - Network Planner / Network Management, where they designed and managed network installations and upgrades.

Earlier in their career, David worked at Verizon Data Services as a Systems Engineer IV - Networking Services from September 2005 to January 2007, and as a Systems Engineer III - Networking Services from March 2004 to September 2005.

David started their career as a Network Engineer at CDI Information Services, where they worked as a contractor for Verizon Data Services from January 2001 to March 2004.

David Batty started their education in 1997 at the University of South Florida, where they pursued a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS). David completed their studies in 2001. In 2006, they enrolled in Saint Leo University and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2009. Notably, their field of study during their MBA program was focused on business. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect from Amazon Web Services in 2017, Palo Alto Networks - Accredited Configuration Engineer (ACE) from Palo Alto Networks in 2016, FireEye Certified Systems Engineer from FireEye, Inc. in 2014, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2013.
