Gene Halbrooks

Gene Halbrooks is a seasoned technical leader with extensive experience in software engineering and operations. Currently serving as Technical Lead at iboss since April 2019, Gene focuses on securing user Internet access from any device in the cloud. Prior experience includes roles as Technical Leader for Software Engineering at both Synamedia and Cisco, where responsibilities encompassed CDN development, big data analytics, and IP video streaming. At Akamai, Gene held the position of Director of Software Engineering, overseeing large-scale distributed systems and cloud computing initiatives. Earlier in the career, Gene contributed as a Consulting Software Engineer at Cognex Corporation. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Psychology, and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Fitchburg State University.
