Rick Wager

Rick Wager is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Distinguished Engineer and previously as Engineering Director at Ibotta, Inc. since October 2015, Rick has held various progressive roles within the company, including Platform Engineering Manager and Senior Engineer. Prior to Ibotta, Rick was the Director of Central Software at Wireless Seismic from June 2009 to October 2015 and co-founded Buzzwire, serving as a Senior Software Architect from August 2006 to June 2009. Additional roles at Openwave Systems and SignalSoft Corp included Senior and Software Architect positions. Rick’s career began at Martin Marietta in 1988, followed by engineering roles at Dazix and Congniseis. Rick holds a degree from Colorado State University, earned between 1984 and 1987.
