Human Centered Design COE Lead at IBR

Frank Lacson has extensive work experience in the field of Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Human Factors Engineering. Frank currently works as the Human Centered Design COE Lead at Imagine Believe Realize, LLC, where they provide HCD guidance for the My Navy Portal, a Digital Experience Portal for Navy personnel and family members. Prior to this, they served as a Human Factors Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Kapsuun Group, LLC, where they provided technical leadership and guidance for HCD activities in the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution – Technical Refresh (NMMES-TR) program. Frank has also worked as a Systems Analyst IV at AUSGAR Technologies INC, contributing subject matter expertise to the Human Factors Engineering/ Human Systems Integration (HFE/HSI) Technical Warrant Holder. Earlier in their career, they held roles such as Senior Human Factors Engineer and Human Factors Research Scientist at Pacific Science & Engineering, where they conducted applied research for the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Frank Lacson started their career as a Research Associate in the Dynamic Decision Making Lab at Carnegie Mellon University and as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Frank Lacson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1998 to 2002. Frank later pursued a Master of Science degree in Engineering Psychology at the same institution from 2002 to 2005.
