Steven Simon

Steven Simon currently serves as the Deputy Program Manager for Subseasonal-to-Seasonal Weather Modeling at IBSS since July 2024. Prior experience includes a role as a Physical Scientist at Lynker, focusing on Global Ensemble Model Verification, and working as an Atmospheric Scientist at ERT, Inc., where Steven contributed to research presented at significant workshops. Steven has published and presented research on high tide flooding and sea level trends during positions at IBSS and Lynker Technologies. An academic background includes graduate research assistantships at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, with participation in NASA-funded projects, and teaching responsibilities at both the University of Miami and Penn State University. Steven holds multiple degrees in Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Miami and Penn State University.
