Program Director

Taurus Freeman, MPA, currently serves as the Deputy Program & Planning Director at the Institute for Building Technology and Safety, a nonprofit organization that provides governmental services for the City of Central. With a robust background in strategic planning, economic development, and community engagement, Taurus has held key positions in various municipalities, including Assistant Director of Economic & Community Development for the City of Fayetteville, Director of Planning & Development Services in the City of Abilene, and Community Development Director for the City of Villa Rica. Taurus has a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University, along with a Master's in Public Administration and additional qualifications in business management and local government management. This extensive experience in public administration and urban planning is complemented by skills in budget management, project oversight, and public policy development.
