ICA Associates Inc. is a Canadian "social-enterprise" consulting and training firm that specializes in participatory group processes. 

We design and lead participatory group processes, large and small, in any sector, with any organization that is interested in engaging people.  For example grass-roots community-based strategic planning for municipalities, employee-driven organizational transformation in companies, system changing collaboration among non-profits, collaborative public policy development, and co-design of your internal processes. All our consultants are certified and professional facilitators. All of our customers believe there is wisdom in the groups they seek to engage with. 

Our training programs share the lessons of the past 50 years of international community development and organizational transformation experience. We teach what we use. And we continuously improve the body of knowledge known as the Technology of Participation or ToP Methods (TM).  

We call ourselves "social entrepreneurs" because ICA Associates Inc. was created by the Canadian Institute of Cultural Affairs, a charity with deep roots in Canada and links to sister organizations in 30 countries around the world, most of which are involved in community development.  Both ICA Associates Inc. and the Canadian Institute of Cultural Affairs share values and are committed to "facilitating a culture of participation."
