Baher Esmat is the Vice President of Stakeholder Engagement for the Middle East and the Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa at ICANN, where they currently lead initiatives aimed at fostering collaboration within the region. Prior to this role, Baher served as the Manager of Regional Relations at ICANN from 2006 to 2012, and worked as a Systems Consultant at Newbridge Networks / Alcatel from 1999 to 2002. They previously held positions such as Systems Engineer at the Information and Decision Support Center and Unit Manager at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Baher is pursuing an M.Sc. at The American University in Cairo, along with a B.Sc. from Cairo University and participation in an Executive Development Program for Executives and Managers at IESE Business School.
